My Story
Hello! I'm Joli (rhymes with 'jolly') — a consulting astrologer, Reiki Master, and Sacred Depths Coach based in the middle of England.
I was born in the US to Indian immigrant parents and grew up between two worlds: one modern, one traditional. It was in Japan — where I eventually lived for twenty years — that I found a resolution to that tension.

Japan has a remarkable way of holding the traditional and the modern side by side. Living there gave me both a framework and a deep appreciation for that kind of synthesis. These pieces shape my approach to the work I do now.

Astrology first entered my life through stories my parents brought from India. It wasn't until 1992, when I received my first natal chart report, that it truly clicked: discovering a Pisces stellium (3 or more planets in the same sign) sitting in tension with my Aquarius Sun explained so much about myself that simple Sun sign horoscopes never could. Since then, astrology has been my companion through career changes, international moves, depression, infertility, and shifting identities — helping me navigate and find perspective through all of it.

I learned Reiki as a way of practicing self-compassion and following a miscarriage, made my peace with the world by adopting a second Beagle to join the one my husband and I already had. Exactly one year to the day after Dylan arrived in our home to join his half-sister, Pepper, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

While in Japan, I also studied a form of Medical QiGong (akin to 'energetic acupuncture'), including massage and aromatherapy. I studied very hard for this as all the lectures and course-materials were in Japanese and in the end, I was the first non-Japanese graduate from this school.

After years of offering Reiki and astrology consultations, I felt something was missing. I wanted to bring more to my client sessions — to bridge the insights that were emerging with real, lasting transformation. I started studying the nervous-system through Iren Lyon’s SmartBody Smart Mind. And then I trained with Joanna Lindenbaum's Applied Depths Institute in 2022 to become a Sacred Depths coach. Both studies have deepened my understanding of energetics and the difference between breakthrough and transformation, changing I work for the better.
Today, my practice is trauma-informed and weaves together astrology, Reiki, and Sacred Depths coaching into a space where you can explore who you are, where you've been, and where you're headed.
