The Feb ‘26 Saturn-Neptune Conjunction & Apophis

I’ve been musing on the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in terms of its out-of-sign oppostion to the Virgo Solar Eclipse on September 21, 2025.

I normally work with eclipses by putting them in the center wheel and then seeing where an event or transit lands through the bi-wheel. In this case, I've put the Virgo Solar Eclipse in the middle, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction with the Moon in the middle wheel, and the US Sibley chart in the outer wheel.

We can see that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction lands on the IC of the Sibley chart, and that the Solar Eclipse is opposite and in an out-of-sign conjunction with the MC of the Sibley chart. I pushed the transit chart forward a couple of days to Feb 19th in order to get Saturn and Neptune closer together--and also to see if that transiting Moon can be viewed as a bit of a trigger.

A few things to keep in mind--the Sep 2025 eclipse is the same Saros series as an eclipse that happened in July 1917 when Saturn and Neptune were conjunct in another Fire sign, Leo. Whilst WW I was raging & the US was preparing to join the fight, some other key events from that time include the Balfour Declaration, the anti-Russian gov't protests, and a change of name for the British Royal Family.

But if we focus solely on the US, given that the conjunction falls in the 2H and 3H of the eclipse chart and in the 4H of the Sibley chart, I'm wondering if all of this is possibly indicating

1) the bursting of the AI bubble & the knock-on effects in domestic & international markets (NVIDIA announced a $100 billion investment in Open AI on the day of the Sep 2025 eclipse);

2) the start of US fighting in/near Venezuela (in July 1917, the U.S. government appropriated $640 million to build up its military aviation, a key step in preparing for World War I);

3) something to do with Palestinian recognition (given that on the day of the Sep eclipse the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Portugal formally recognized the state of Palestine in a coordinated diplomatic move);

4) fallout from another health crisis relating to the spread of disease (there were many key disease outbreaks in July 1917). I've ranked these in the order of most likely to least in my mind, but there's nothing to say that some of this couldn't be happening simultaneously.

None of this is to say that good things can’t/won’t happen, too, but I saw on another astrology forum that they wanted the inclusion of the asteroid Apophis, named after an ancient Egyptian deity, representing chaos, destruction, and disorder. As the foe of the sun god Ra, Apophis embodies everything that threatens order, light, and truth, and astrologically, it is often interpreted as a symbol for upheaval.

So in the astrology forum, people were being asked to look at the chart of 13 April 2029 in terms of Apophis, which I did. The first thing that caught my eye is that the transiting nodes will be conjunct Jupiter in the US Sibley Chart. And then I saw that Apophis will be conjunct Neptune in the Sibley Chart.

And knowing that the nodes flip every 9 years, I just had to look at roughly the start of the COVID pandemic in March 2020, so I pulled up the chart and wouldn’t you know it—transiting Apophis was conjunct the “natal” position of Apophis in the Sibley Chart!

I don’t routinely use asteroids in my astrology practice as my time & attention is taken up plenty by the 7 classical planets, the lunar nodes, and the Lots of Fortune & Spirit. But I’m not averse to looking at them as I know they can say/show us a lot—and I have to say this made me go ‘WOW’!

I’ll need a bit more time to really look at the April 2029 chart in order to delineate it properly, but I thought I would share these thoughts & musings while they are fresh in my mind. Of course hind-sight is 20/20 (no pun intended) but seeing that Apophis conjunction around the start of the COVID pandemic in the US is just trippy, don’t you think?!
